New-Build MSCP, Ashford & St Peter’s NHS Trust

Project: The new MSCP consists of 694 spaces, including 8 charging stations and 36 disabled bays to accommodate both staff, patients and visitors. The car park is spread over 7 half floors (0.5- 3.5) and will serve the hospital’s main entrance. The MSCP is built on the footprint of the hospitals existing car park.

Contract Details

The MSCP was part of Phase 1 development to enable further development within the hospital campus.

The Steel Framed structure is situated on piled foundations and made up from pre-cast concrete planks and will contain 5 main, precast cores (4 stair cores & 1 lift core). The car parks level 1 and 2 link into the current first and second floor of the hospital allowing Brand new Mechanical and Electrical systems are introduced into the car park including an LED lighting system, CCTV, Fire Alarms and Power to the 8 No. charging points these make the car park a safe, sustainable and secure place for visitors to leave their vehicles.

Additional ducts for future barriers and conduit for additional charging spaces are also included. The car park’s double lift, stair cases and coloured way-finding signage make the car park a user friendly and accommodating addition to the hospital’s facilities.
